Eligibility and Suggested Criteria
To ensure the award highlights high-quality, impactful scientific work, all submissions must meet the following requirements:
Core Criteria
Research paper must be already concluded, and with no pending parts, within 2 years before the date of the award.
The submitted research must be completed within the past 2 years from the award date and must be in its final form (no ongoing sections or pending experiments).
Research papers should already be recognized by the research/thesis committee/department of a university \ institution.
The research must be officially approved by a university thesis or research committee (for academic work), or equivalent institutional ethics/review board ( for non-academic work).
Research paper should be either already published or be scheduled for publication in a peer review journal.
The research preferred to be recent published in a peer-reviewed journal within 2 years.Research paper should be original and unique of its kind.
The research must demonstrate original thinking and uniqueness and should not be a derivative of another published work.Provide clearer evaluation criteria for “original and unique” such as novel methodology, new clinical application, or first-in-region.
Clarify whether secondary data analysis such as meta-analyses can qualify if methodologically innovative.
The research should add both theoretical scientific value and real time clinical value to one or more of the fields related to pharmacy.
The research should provide both:
o Theoretical/scientific advancement in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences domain
o Practical or clinical relevance, contributing to real-world patient care, drug development, healthcare policy, or pharmaceutical innovationDefine how “clinical value” will be measured
Guideline influence? Policy implications?
Practice change? Patient outcomes?Interdisciplinary Impact OR
Preference will be given to research that bridges pharmacy with other disciplines (e.g., pharmacogenomics, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, digital health).
OrSustainability or Public Health Relevance
Research addressing global health challenges, sustainability, or underserved populations may be prioritized for broader impact.
OrInnovation and Patentability
Consideration for research that has resulted in a patent application or commercially viable product/formulation.Consider developing a weighted scoring rubric (e.g., originality 25%, impact 30%, methodology 20%, innovation 15%, presentation 10%).
Clarify whether patent filing alone qualifies, or if commercial translation must be demonstrated.
Authorship eligibility clarification (who can submit is it first author only? corresponding author? team submissions?)
Conflict of interest disclosure requirement if applicable
Research Presentation at DUPHAT
Finalists may be invited to present their research at the conference. Clarity of presentation, communication skills, and audience engagement will also factor in final judging.
